(CNN) Saudi Arabia is warning it will sell off billions in American assets if the U.S. Congress passes a bipartisan bill that would allow victims of 9/11 and other terrorist attacks to sue foreign governments.

Are we alone in the universe? Could UFO sightings actually be extraterrestrial spacecraft?
We ask these questions every day, especially on HuffPost Weird News, but now, four former lawmakers are about to open up the discussion to a congressional-style grilling.

From The Atlantic:
In 1960, mathematician, physicist, and all-around genius Freeman Dyson predicted that every civilization in the Universe eventually runs out of energy on its home planet, provided it survives long enough to do so. Dyson argued that this event constitutes a major hurdle in a civilization’s evolution, and that all those who leap over it do so in precisely the same way: they build a massive collector of starlight, a shell of solar panels to surround their home star.
My sense is that this Lt. Col French probably got ‘sign off’ from the military to go to the media with this revelation (you can also check out this story in The Huffington Post). What is going on? Having perused quite a lot of both alternative and mainstream news, my only conclusion is that we are witnessing a massive behind-the-scenes battle on a variety of fronts, including within the military/intelligence agencies. The prize: what kind of planet we live in and who is in control. The bottom line is American influence is waning and we will not be the post WWII Empire we once were. As more cracks in the Old Guard occur, information regarding a variety of issues will continue to be released. Eventually we will need Truth and Reconciliation committees to sift through all the dis-information we’ve been fed over the past sixty years, of which UFOs are a key part.
The Bilderberg Group website claims that its meetings are merely “a small, flexible, informal and off-the-record international forum in which different viewpoints can be expressed and mutual understanding enhanced.” The Bilderberg website further points out “no resolutions are proposed, no votes taken, and no policy statements issued.” So what is the real agenda behind the Bilderberg group? Is it to promote the interests of international banking cartels and a one world government? Alternatively, is Bilderberg simply an annual forum for leading industrialists, bankers, hi-tech gurus, and up-and-coming politicians to meet, learn about each other, and better understand international events? The ultimate answer may be truly out of this world.
Retired Army Col. John Alexander, well-known UFO expert, urges Secretary of Defense director Leon Panetta, CIA Directory David Petraeus, and National Intelligence Director James Clapper to grant amnesty to government officials/employees who are still under security oaths that prevent them from disclosing what they — or the government — know about the extraterrestrial reality.

…probably the most important, and salient, impact of the web on viral public opinion shaping may be the UFO phenomena. An entirely new intellectual discipline, called Exopolitics (the political implications of Extraterrestrial presence), has evolved and begun to turn the litany of UFO ‘sightings’ and whistleblower testimony into a rational – albeit radical – world view. When I say ‘rational’ I mean that there is a framework that is quickly developing that pieces together many conspiratorial threads in such a way to create a narrative that may, over time, replace what one might call the Walter Conkrite world view that existed from the end of WW II through 2001 (i.e., 9/11)…
